A rare and remarkable original cover from Collier's Weekly magazine, January 2, 1905, featuring Maxfield Parrish's iconic "Father Time" illustration. This piece was created exclusively for this magazine cover and was never issued as a print, making it a truly unique collectible.

The Artwork:
The composition features a wizened old man in flowing robes, cranking a lever that turns a great wheel set against a round clock face with Roman numerals—a powerful allegorical representation of Father Time himself. Parrish's masterful use of color and symbolism captures the eternal passage of time with both gravitas and artistry.

Condition:
Good to excellent condition—truly remarkable for a 120-year-old piece of paper. Minimal toning and fading consistent with age. Minor edge wear includes a couple of tiny tears and evidence where fasteners were removed to separate the cover from the magazine. Newsstand edition, so the image remains unmarred by any address label.

Provenance:
Cover only, professionally extracted from the magazine and beautifully preserved.

Dimensions:
Visible Image: 14" × 9"; Matted and Framed: 21.5" x 17.5"

The cover in its entirety is only slightly larger than the matted size.

Presentation:
Double-matted in Dutch blue and housed in an elegant gold frame that complements the vintage aesthetic of this early 20th-century treasure.
